What You Can Do To Help
There are multiple organizations committed to preserving the North Cascades National Forest. One of them is Environment Washington, and if you Click here you can send a quick note to push our elected officials and representatives to prevent deforestation of the North Cascades. What's needed is to expand the national park preservation to the surrounding forest, or designate more forest as primitive wilderness areas. Remember that even though the national park is separated from the national forest land, the effects of the disturbances can be seen in the park as well. Also, another thing you can do to help is volunteer with outreach organizations that inform the public about the north cascades and the risks of clear cuts. You can also make donations to the North Cascades National Park and help make projects possible there. To make a contribution or to get more information on the projects funded can be found here Washington's National Park Fund
